Reporting and Enforcing Within FS163.045- 2026 Update and Future

Friday, February 27, 2026 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (EST)

Description

Description: Tree Risk Assessment in Florida is focused on how to meet the requirements, the shalls and shoulds, that are stated in the current version of FL Statute 163.045. With years of experience meeting the terms of this statute, we all should be able to understand what it says for both the reporting professionals, CAs and LAs, and when applicable and credible, for review by municipal Code Compliance and other relevant staff requesting and reviewing Tree Risk Assessment reports written for FS163.045 allowed tree removals. We will review the key terms, discuss terms to help us better understand what is and is not a compliant Tree Risk Assessment in field work and fora report, municipal codes written to be compliant (legal concurrency) with FS163.045, example reports to highlight professional practice that meets ethics and that does not, and having time for Q&A about these topics.
