Join Us for the Florida Urban Forestry Council’s 2nd Annual Urban Forestry Summit! The Florida Urban Forestry Council is thrilled to announce its 2nd Annual Membership Summit—a dynamic event bringing together professionals, advocates, and enthusiasts dedicated to the health and sustainability of Florida’s urban forests.

Thursday, July 30, 2026

8:45 – 9:45 AM – Speaker: Anthony Gross, Broward County Natural Resources Division

9:45 – 10:45 AM – Speaker: Darryl Richard, FDOT Planning for Trees

10:45 – 11:15 AM – Vendor Break

11:15 AM – 12:15 PM – Speaker: Zach Hansen, SPAR Presentation

12:15 – 1:30 PM – Networking Lunch at Hotel

1:30 – 3:00 PM – Breakout Sessions – Interactive breakout sessions focused on collaboration and discussion. Breakout topics include:

  • Municipal & Utility Urban Forestry
  • Outreach & Informal Education

3:00 – 3:30 PM – Shelly Johnson, Bat Houses Presentation

3:30 – 5:00 PM – Vendor Networking Social, light snacks and drinks provided

8:00 PM – Evening Bat House Experience
Bats emerge about 20 minutes after posted sunset time. Participants will meet at the hotel at approximately 7:15 PM to walk or travel together, or attendees can meet on-site.
